Frank and Sidney
STATUS: Adopted
Meet Frank and Sidney! Both former street cats, these boys had quite a journey through life before they found each other in foster care. They are both around 3 years old and are seeking a forever home. Frank (brown tabby) was living behind a gas station, eating out of a dumpster before being socialized in a foster home. At the same time, Sidney (solid black) was living only a few miles away, surviving on scraps of human food. These sweet boys have become total lovebugs in foster care, and have become totally obsessed with each other. We are seeking a home where they can be kept together forever.
Frank has no health concerns, although he is trying to lose a few pounds at the moment. Sidney is FIV+ and has mild Irritable Bowel Disease, managed with a simple veterinary diet which he and Frank both eat and enjoy. FIV is an immunosuppressive condition that cannot be spread to humans or other species and can only infect other cats through deep tissue wounds. FIV does not impair Sidney’s quality of life, although it does make routine veterinary care and vaccinations especially important since his immune system is less able to fight off illness on its own. You can read more about it at the link below. Sidney struggles with nipping during playtime, which we are working on in foster care, but for this reason, we do not recommend a home with young children. Both boys do well with other cats and are untested with dogs.
Frank and Sidney have been neutered, vaccinated and given preventative treatments including flea and worm treatment. Their adoption fee is $200 and applications will be considered within five hours driving distance of Brantford, Ontario. These sweet boys are overflowing with love to share – do you have room in your heart and your home for them? If so, please email us at [email protected].
