FUNDRAISE
Special Occasions
Don’t need another toaster or gift card? Do your kids get more gifts than they know what to do with on their birthdays? Or maybe you’re having your third child and don’t need any new baby gifts? Events like weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, new babies, and even graduations are ideal occasions to fundraise because friends and family like to mark the occasion by giving.

Personal Challenges
By making a personal sacrifice or overcoming a challenge, you demonstrate your passion for a cause – and passion can be contagious! Push your physical limits by climbing a mountain, swimming a lake, or biking across the country; or try to break a world record – there are a lot of them to choose from.
Get your children involved by setting challenges that suit their age and ability.
Special Events
These are traditional fundraising opportunities, but you don’t have to take part in a large marathon to help a charity you love. The power of any event can be harnessed to support a cause you care about. Play on an office softball team? Choose a charity for the whole team to support, and get friends and family members to pledge donations. You could also talk to your local community centre about using space to hold a dance-a-thon, or rent out the local bowling alley and collect pledges for pins knocked down or try a bake sale at work.

FOSTER

‘How long will the cat and/or kittens be in your home?’ It depends. It can be a few weeks to a few months. A pregnant mom, for example, who has kittens in your home will usually be with you 12 – 14 weeks, while a sick or injured cat may be with you 8 – 16 weeks.
By volunteering to foster, you provide a loving, temporary home for cats or kittens until they are adopted.
Fostering can be a very rewarding experience. It helps save precious lives and is an important part of a program to reduce overpopulation.
Hearts to Homes takes care of all veterinary care including spay/neuters, vaccinations and testing for FIV/FELV. We will provide food and litter if needed. You provide your time and love.
