Hi, I'm Tara! I am around 9 months old and am searching for my forever home!
I was abandoned in the countryside with my sister over the summer. A very kind community member found us and noticed that we seemed really sick, so she got us help! My sister ended up passing away from suspected poisoning. I was really sick too, but I spent some time at the hospital and now I am in tip-top shape! My sister was my best friend, though, and losing her was really hard for me. I have a hard time making new feline friends, but I am getting better! I love the adult cats (8+) in my foster home, and I really love my foster brother, Calcifer! We met in foster care and have been inseparable ever since. We would love a home together. We haven't been tested with dogs but would probably do okay with cat-savvy dogs and proper, slow introductions. We are untested with kids but would do well with respectful children.
From Tara's foster mom: Tara is a sweet, affectionate, gentle girl who LOVES to play and enjoys a good cuddle in bed. She is quite independent, and doesn't always enjoy being picked up/carried around -- she is very vocal and will let you know when she's had enough! Tara is one of the goofiest, silliest kittens we've ever fostered; she is truly a joy to have in our home. She needs a family that understands her unique personality and loves her for it! Tara loves to curl up with you on the couch, and likes to have her feet touching you at all times. She is sweet and affectionate, and loves to play with fishing tod toys!
Tara has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, health-checked by our veterinarians, and tested Negative for FIV/FELV. The adoption fee is $400 for the pair.
